My name is Skye Civitella, and I’m a proud Champlain College alum with a BFA in Graphic Design & Visual Communication, earned in May 2022. My time at Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont, was a transformative experience where I truly found my voice as a creative. Immersed in a supportive environment and diverse design classes, I was able to sharpen my skills, explore new ideas, and embark on exciting projects that have shaped who I am as a designer.
Art has always been a passion for me—from the hands-on creativity of ceramics, to the spontaneity of sketchbook doodles, and the precision of digital design using the Adobe Suite and Procreate. Graphic design is more than a profession; it’s a way I bring my ideas to life and communicate visually. Outside of these mediums, I love to immerse myself outdoors—whether that's skiing, kayaking, hammocking, hiking, camping, climbing, or cliff jumping—and nature’s raw beauty is a constant source of influence in my work.
A pivotal moment in my life came with my move to Salt Lake City, Utah, which is now my home and where I am based out of. The transition brought incredible access to the outdoors and a community that aligns perfectly with my passion for the outdoor and snow sports industry. However, shortly after moving, my first ski season, I suffered a significant knee injury while skiing, the good ole ACL & meniscus combo—a challenging setback that forced me to slow down. During my recovery, I leaned heavily into my art and design, using that time not only to heal physically but also to grow creatively.
I’m often described as motivated, organized, open-minded, and detail-oriented—a combination that drives me to solve problems thoughtfully and push my creative boundaries. With strong experience in the Adobe Suite, Procreate, and a passion for design, I’m excited to continue creating work that resonates and makes an impact, especially within the outdoor lifestyle and snow sports communities I love.
